The waves and the sky, after hurricane Earl, were beautiful here on the
coast of Maine. The color of the ocean was also very unusual. I had a
great time using colors you don't often take out to paint the ocean.
This is one of the beautiful lobster boats that is moored in
the Monhegan Island harbor. In the afternoon the boats drift
around and catch the setting sun light. I could watch them
all afternoon.
I painted this study in Two Lights State Park. Saturday morning
was warm and beautiful, while I was painting the wind
came up and clouds came in and I left it was so cold.
Lily was with me and she was happy to go.
